All of the new anti tangle brushes just seem to do absolutely nothing on carpet. They work fine on hardwood of course but when it comes to removing hair and lint from carpet they seem completely useless... Are there no new vacuums that have a real brush? I'm more than willing to maintain the brush vs having these rubber flaps that do nothing.

The main brush roll becomes a solid cylinder of fur that I can't even pull off — I have to use scissors to cut it free.
